Getting ready for school often entails throwing on a pair of leggings, a huge sweatshirt, and slides and calling it a day. But, putting (a little) extra effort into how you look for class might actually translate into being more motivated to get things done. So, instead of the “just-rolled-out-of-bed-look” maybe looking put together will help you become the girl boss that you are. We understand that being a student is insanely time-consuming, so we have put together some simple ways you can spice up your beauty routine while still keeping your priorities in check.

One of the easiest ways to look like you tried (when you totally didn’t) is by wearing subtle lip color. This does not require putting on a lipstick but rather a tinted lip balm, sheer lip color or shimmery gloss. With some light face makeup, this addition will bring color to your face and accentuate your natural beauty.

Eyeshadow and liner are the hardest and most time-consuming parts of a makeup routine. Anyone who has ever tried doing winged eyeliner in a rush knows exactly what I am talking about. So, if you do not have time to get mad at your uneven liner, just skip eyes altogether. Having a great base with bold brows will have you looking professional and put together without having to do a full face of makeup. Go for a trusty bb cream, light concealer under the eyes (to hide those hours of studying) and some bold brows to bring dimension to your face.

Now, if you are feeling a little edgy and want to go for something different try picking one bold color and popping it on. You could go for one shadow blended onto the lid like a warm copper or shimmery pink. Or, place a bright neon for the inner corner as a substitute for your usual inner-corner highlight!
